April Showers Bring May Flowers

 

I realize I frequently complain about the weather, and today is no exception. Hello!?!?!?! It is the end of May and it is only 48 (F) degrees outdoors! GRRRRRRR!

OK, ok, I admit, there have been several days this spring when the weather was nice, even warmer than average. But enough with this cold weather already! ... I'm desperately trying to think of something positive to say about the weather, and the only thing that comes to mind is that if it was nice outdoors, I wouldn't have to time to blog. And, I have been neglectful regarding getting this blog updated frequently, which is another subject.

So, here I am, just rambling on about nothing important, while my mind is on all the work I could be doing outdoors. Speaking of outdoors, it has started to rain again. Whatever happened to April showers bring May flowers? (sigh) Well, I certainly can't complain that there aren't any flowers. The lilacs are in full bloom, and the tulips and daffodils are just about past peak. Some of the wildflowers, like the violets are at peak. It would just be nice to have some sunshine to enjoy them more!

New US Postage Rates

New US postage rates start May 12, 2008, meaning a First-Class Mail stamp will be 42¢, up a whole penny from the previous rates. Fortunately, I purchased the "Forever" stamps last month, so I don't have to worry about getting any 1¢ stamps.
